A list of donations were then accepted before the board moved to approve the following agenda items.

Robert Pennington was approved to be an EHS paid and/or volunteer event worker for the 2023-2024 school year.

The proposed 2024-2025 school district calendar was approved, and tentative approval was given for the 2025-2026 school district calendar.

The Evergreen Local Board of Education next voted to join in membership with the Ohio School Board Association and authorized the Treasurer to pay the $5,679.00 membership for 2024.

An agreement with RFS Behavioral Health was then approved, to provide social and emotional support services to Evergreen students.

The agreement specifies that student participation in the receipt of services is voluntary and based upon the informed consent of his/her legal guardian. Services are provided without any financial cost imposed on Evergreen Local Schools.

Four overnight trips were then approved. The first trip approved is for Evergreen Agriculture students, Jessica Campbell, Taylor Johnson, and teacher Alexis Howell, to travel to the National FFA Grow Next Conference in Dallas, Texas for educational workshops and to explore agriculture communications careers.

The next trip is for the Evergreen wrestling team to participate in the Division III State Duals at Sandusky St. Mary’s High School.

The Evergreen wrestling team will also participate in the OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio on March 8-11, should any wrestler qualify for the state tournament.

Lastly, the Evergreen FFA students will attend the FFA State Convention at the Ohio State Fairgrounds in Columbus, Ohio on May 1st-3rd, 2024.

Board members then moved to set the date for the upcoming organizational meeting, with the date set for January 8th, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. with the regular board meeting taking place after.

Jason Miller was then elected as the President Pro Tempore to preside over the beginning of the January 2024 Organizational Meeting until a newly elected president assumes the chair.

Reports were then given by building administrators before it was moved by board members to adjourn for the evening.
