The Williams County Commissioners had an exceedingly productive first session of 2024. Meeting last Thursday at 9 a.m., they passed 20 resolutions approving annual appointments and contracts to prepare for 2024.

Among these was the approval of Bartley Westfall as president of the board of Williams County Commissioners, with Terry Rummel serving as vice president.

Then approved were eight resolutions for regular business, as well as a letter for the Department of

Motor Vehicles, November and December credit card appropriations, credit card reports for January for the Commissioners, Recorders, and Prosecutors offices, the weekly and monthly Dog Warden reports for December 2023, a permit for a liquor store in Montpelier, a dealership title, and a Maumee Valley payment request.

The bills and minutes were approved as presented, and the commissioners then entered recess before fixing a contract before signage.
