(June 2nd, 2015) – MONTPELIER: The second game of a double header between the two teams, Montpelier and Edon were unable to finish the contest. With no lights available on the field, and the sun setting, the game had to be called in the fifth inning because of darkness. This was due to the first game lasting eight innings, longer than it had been anticipated to last.

The game ended in a 2-2 tie, as neither side had grabbed the advantage by the mandatory conclusing of the contest.

Going 1 for 2 at the plate for the Locomotives was garret Fantom. He hit for a double. Teammate Caleb Haines made the most of both his plate appearances. The Loco hitter connected for a single and watched the ball closely to earn a free trip to first base with a walk.

Wyatt Guilick and Gunnar Matson split pitching responsibilities for Montpelier. With 1.2 innings pitched the former gave up 1 earned run and 3 walks. Matson lasted the remainder of the game, 2.1 innings, also allowing 1 earned run, but striking out 3 Edon batters.
