Montpelier Falls To Fairview In ACME Play

(June 16th, 2015) – MONTPELIER: Meeting for the second time in 2015, the Locomotives of Montpelier invited the Fairview Apaches to their home field after poor field conditions deemed the contest couldn’t take place in Sherwood.  The two squads first met in the opening game of the Spring season, a game in which the Apache boys won by a considerable margin.

While the Locos would put up a considerably better fight against the talented Fairview unit in the second match-up, the Apaches, who went 16-10 in a strong Green Meadows Conference during the Spring, still proved to be too much for Montpelier.

The Locomotive boys lost to Fairview 12-4.

Taking the loss on behalf of Montpelier was Gunnar Matson.  Entering into his senior season, Matson has been electric for the Locos throughout the Summer.  This loss does little to change the phenomenal ACME season he’s having thus far.
