The 127 Yard Sale is the world’s longest yard sale. If you live in Northwest Ohio, you are fortunate enough to live close to all those yearly bargains that are hidden along its path.

This year the sales ran from Thursday, August 1st to Sunday, August 4th. The 690-mile-long sale starts just five miles north of Addison, Michigan and ends in Gadsden, Alabama. Amazingly the route travels through six different states: Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama.

This year marks the yard sales 37th year since it began back in 1987 after a man by the name of Mike Walker from Jamestown, Tennessee, coordinated the event to get more individuals to take the road less traveled and get off of the interstate and highways.

He certainly achieved success in that as the sale continues to draw more people to it due to its uniqueness.

Whether looking for a bargain, something unique to experience or just to hit the road and see what’s out there, the 127 Yard Sale has a little bit of everything for everyone to enjoy.

If you missed the sale this year, don’t fret as the dates for the next two years have already been released so you have plenty of time to plan how you’re going to bargain hunt. The dates for 2025 will be August 7th-10th and for 2026 they’ll be August 6th-9th.

If you’re interested in becoming a vendor along the 127 yard sale route or have other questions you can visit their website for more information at www.127yardsale.com .

BARGIN HUNTING … Many vendors rented spaces along 127 in order to sell their items to bargain hunters who frequent the route.
