The Wauseon High School Theater Department recently presented “The Matchmakers”. The play was performed by student actors on Thursday, November 21st at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, November 23rd at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., and on Sunday, November 24th at 2:00 p.m.
The play a young girl names Bree who was having a tough go of her high school years. After breaking up with her boyfriend because he took her to Wendy’s for their homecoming date, she begins to think she is cursed.
When her mother falls for her marriage counselor after deciding to get divorced, she begins to think more seriously that she is cursed. And when she ends up falling for the marriage counselor’s geeky son, she’s about as convinced as can be.
The performance put on by the student actors was superb, with the lines being delivered in a convincing way. It was almost as if each one of the characters were actually mad at each other during their arguments.
Each one of the students did a fantastic job with the roles they portrayed. Congratulations to everyone involved in this year’s production.
