Four People Killed As Result Of Head-On Collison In Paulding County

PRESS RELEASE – The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash, that occurred at 9:13 P.M. on January 24, 2025 on US24 near Mile Post 15 in Paulding County.

Gary Wayne Woods, age 72, of Clio, Michigan was traveling eastbound on US24, and was operating a 2024 Peterbilt Semi. Amin Mukbel Humaidi, age 35, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was traveling westbound on US24, and was operating a 2015 Honda Pilot.

Mr. Woods traveled off the left side of the roadway, through the median, before striking the Honda Pilot head-on. Both vehicles continued off the north side of the roadway where they came to final rest.

Amin Mukbel Humaidi and passengers Nadia Humaidi, age 40, Rajaa Humaidi, age 21, and Asmaa Humaidi, age 3 all of Fort Wayne, Indiana, were pronounced deceased on scene.

Passenger Hamzah Humaidi, age 14, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was transported by Life Flight to Toledo’s Saint Vincent Medical Center. Mr. Woods was transported to Defiance Regional Medical Center by Paulding EMS for injuries sustained in the crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, Paulding Fire and EMS, Mercy Health Life-Flight, Paulding County Coroner’s Office, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and Hague Towing and Repair. The crash remains under investigation.
