MONTPELIER – Zoe Uribes drilled a three-run homer in the third to cap off a six-run inning for the Locos who held off a late surge by Wayne Trace for an 9-4 win in a Division VI sectional final.
Kelsie Bumb also went yard for along with a triple and three RBIs for the Locos, who will be making their third straight trip to the districts.
No. 2 Montpelier will take on No. 3 Patrick Henry at Archbold on Tuesday, May 20 at 6 p.m.
