The Fulton County Commissioners held their regular session on Tuesday, June 24, approving a slate of resolutions related to appropriations, project funding, and departmental housekeeping.

Among the highlights, the board approved a supplemental appropriation of $70,851.05 to the county’s Children Services Fund after a recent allocation from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

The funds must be used by the end of September and are intended to support the State Child Protective Allocation (SCPA) line item.

This move follows notification from state officials and a request from local fiscal leadership to amend the county’s fund estimates accordingly.

The commissioners also reactivated and renamed a grant account, Pretrial Grant #2, as part of efforts to better manage funding by fiscal year. Additionally, $40,766.55 in unused election grant funds from the May 6 special election will be returned to the state.

This adjustment was coordinated between the county auditor’s office and the Board of Elections, which received over $82,000 initially for election expenses.

In infrastructure matters, the board approved final payment to K&B Asphalt for the 2025 Crack Seal Program, closing out Contract 2025-26.

They also authorized the posting of a public comment period regarding the environmental assessment for the Pleasant View Wastewater Treatment Plant Project, a key step forward in regional wastewater management efforts.

The meeting was brief, wrapping up by 9:10 a.m.
