CROSS COUNTRY: Fayette Boys, Delta Girls Lead Area Teams At Fayette Invitational

TOP FIVE … Addison Schang (Fayette) posted a time of 20:28 to grab third place.


TOP TEN … Emily Suydam (Hilltop) ran a 21:51 take finish eighth to lead Williams County on the girls side.


BOYS’ RACE … Tyler Wilburn (Pettisville) was seventh with a time of 17:16 to help the Blackbirds finish sixth in the team standings.

FAYETTE (September 13, 2025) – The Fayette Cross Country Invitational was held on Saturday, September 13 at Harrison Lake State Park.

In the boy’s division, New Haven, Indiana won the title with 65 points, edging out runner-up Blissfield, Michigan who finished with 68 points.


Holgate placed third with 78 points followed by Fayette who was fourth with 104 points, Pettisville was sixth with 165 points, Delta was ninth with 202 points and Swanton was tenth with 245 points.

Bryan Garcia of New Haven was the individual boys champion with a time of 15:50.

Area runners who finished in the top 15 places were Ethan Lee of Fayette (3rd, 16:31); Carter Eckley of North Central (5th, 16:59); Tyler Wilburn of Pettisville (7th, 17:26); Alex Galvin of Pettisville (11th, 17:26) and Jett Roose of North Central (12th, 17:33).

In the girls’ division, Blissfield claimed the team title with 18 points. Delta was fourth with 99 points and Holgate was fifth with 126 points rounding out the team scores.


Hope Miller of Blissfield was the individual girls champion with a time of 18:40.

Area runners who finished in the top 15 places were Addison Schang of Fayette (3rd, 20:28); Sydnie Whitinger of Delta (5th, 21:02); Emily Suydam of Hilltop (9th, 21:51); Carleigh Cone of Delta (11th, 21:59); and Grace Davis of Pettisville (12th, 22:11).
