TOLEDO (September 25, 2025) – Archbold advanced to the Division II boys district golf tournament after grabbing the third and final team qualifying berth in sectional action at Eagles Landing Golf Club.
Ottawa Hills claimed the sectional crown with a score of 293, followed by Eastwood (310) and Archbold (324), as all three teams advanced to district action on Thursday at Maumee Bay Golf Course.
Rounding out the team standings were Genoa (325), Toledo Central Catholic (326), Wauseon (329), Swanton (330), Bryan (344), Lake (348), Delta (348), Otsego (365), and Rossford (411).
Three other area golfers also advanced to districts, including Dylan Smigelski of Swanton (74), Lane Lopez of Delta (76), and Kai Dauber of Bryan (77).
Dauber earned his ticket to districts, prevailing on the third playoff hole to claim the fourth and final individual spot.
Archbold’s Grady Short captured individual medalist honors with an impressive score of 66. He carded a 33, both on the front nine and back nine.
Other individual scores for the Bluestreaks were Griffen Valentine (71), Gentry Valentine (92), C.J. Arroyo-Thompson (95), and Javery Valentine (110).
Carter Stuckey led Wauseon with a 78, followed by Jack Altstaetter (79), Maddox Schneider (86), Cayden Ruffer (86), and Gavin Fisher (90).
Other individual scores for the Bulldogs were Carson Bond (85), Brady O’Shea (85), Grady Tipton (86), and Camden Kozakiewicz (92).
Besides the 18-hole round of 76 by Lopez, other individual scores for Delta were Keegan Clapp (81), Ashton Alig (95), Luke Spiess (96), and Brady Kile (105).
Other individual scores for the Golden Bears were Jayden Deel (85), Nolan Franzdorf (89), Asher Sito (93), and Matthew Devlin (94).
