GIRLS BOWLING: Bryan Finishes Runner-Up In Division II Sectional; Wauseon’s Yocom & Swanton’s Leonard Advance

NAPOLEON (February 12, 2026) – Bryan’s girls bowling team earned themselves a spot in the district tournament as the Lady Bears finished runner-up to Napoleon in the Division II girls sectional tournament held at River City Bowl-A-Way.

Napoleon won the sectional team title with a score of 3,790 followed by Bryan (3,515), Liberty Center (3,207) and Patrick Henry (3,064). All four teams qualified for districts.

Rounding out, the team standings were Wauseon (3,063), Tinora (2,962), Evergreen (2,780), Delta (2,547), Ottawa-Glandorf (2,544), Swanton (2,322), Miller City (2,060), Horizon Science Academy (2,047) and Bluffton (2,037).

Also advancing to districts was Kymberlee Yocom of Wauseon with games of 169, 147, 192 for a 508 series, Emma Leonard of Swanton with games of 176, 140, 160 for a 476 series, Jennifer Lichtenwald of Tinora (580 series) and Taylor Spangler of Tinora (545 series).

Meadow Goebel led Bryan with games of 190, 187, 232 (609 series), Zoey Gillett with games of 200, 213, 185 (598 series). Polly Sleesman registered games of 222, 136, 163 for a 521 series.

Wauseon’s other scores were Josie Spires with games of 200, 143, 130 (433 series). Annabella Meyers with games of 131, 124, 162 (417 series). Ruth Shelt with games of 134, 145, 156 (435 series) and Lillian Netcher with games of 134 and 126.

Lila Baker rolled a 440 series for Evergreen (170, 112, 158) Addison Willson tallied games of 129, 142, 130, for a 401 series, and Joanna Brown added a 397 series (123, 125, 149).

Gracie Bashears led Delta with a 427 series (145, 132, 150) and Marcella Morris added a 423 series (114, 185, 124). Swanton’s other top scores were Lily Gasche with games of 133, 113, 100 for a 346 series and Ksenia Velikoglo with games of 113, 112, 103 for a 328 series.
