ADDICTION STORY … Victor and Mary Juarez, of Edgerton, went to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Montpelier on Monday, February 23, and spoke to the Ohio Alpha Mu Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, an international organization of women educators. Victor and Mary shared the story of Mary’s son, Marjoe Gineman, who became addicted to opiates in his early twenties, after starting to drink during his teen years. Members asked questions following the presentation. Door prizes were also given out. From left to right: Judy Feeney, fraternal education; Victor and Mary Juarez; Carol Clark, co-chaplain; Jeanne Willson, treasurer; and Patricia Goshorn. Missing from the picture were Pam Sauder, president; Kay Briner, co-chaplain; and Myna Grove, world understanding. The organization supports international causes, including a school in the Philippines. Mary and Victor were grateful for the opportunity to speak to the group.
