ART SHOW HONORS … Several Stryker art students recently entered their artwork in the Black Swamp Arts Council High School Invitational Art Show. Congratulations to Khloe Goebel, Aaron Cheeseman, Mackynzie Drews, Reiss Creighton, Grace Froelich, Allie Ruffer, Mia Gomez and Tayegen Deming for representing Stryker with their creativity and hard work. A special congratulations goes to Grace Froelich, who won Best Drawing and a $50 award for her colored pencil piece (below) “Sunkissed Orange.” The exhibit also celebrates Allie Ruffer, who received an Honorable Mention and a $25 award for her colored pencil drawing (above) “Refractive Balance of Magenta & Blue.” The exhibit is currently on display at the Black Swamp Arts Council Art Center and will run through April 16. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. An awards reception will be held on April 16 to celebrate the awarded artists.
