For 175 years, the Bryan City Band has been part of the summertime fabric of the Fountain City, performing every Wednesday night at the Connin-Hartman Bandstand on the Williams County Courthouse square in downtown Bryan.
Organized in 1852 by John Connin, it is the oldest continuously playing city band in Ohio — and it has played its way through the Civil War, the Great Depression, two world wars and the COVID-19 pandemic. “It’s a little piece of Americana,” said current director Terry Krause.
