Archbold, OH – Again this year a special craft program will allow guests to be inspired by the creativity of talented craftsmen throughout the winter at Sauder Village. From February through mid-April artisans will present free craft demonstrations on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Sauder Village Welcome Center.

“If you miss watching our spinner, broom maker and other craftsmen at work, you’re sure to enjoy our free Craft Saturday programs planned this winter at Sauder Village,” shared Kim Krieger, PR/Media Relations Specialist. “We look forward to having guests join us for these free demonstrations and some great shopping and dining as well!”

Craft demonstrations will vary each week throughout the winter. The demonstrations planned in February include broom making on February 6 and making Native twined bags on February 13. Later in the month guests can watch Kumihimo braiding on February 20 and finger weaving on February 27.

March craft demonstrations include quilling, rug hooking, bobbin lace making and spinning. Early in April guests can learn more about knitting, penny rugs and Kumihimo braiding. A complete schedule of programs is posted online at www.saudervillage.org.
