Mondays from 10:15 am to 11:30 am – Beginning Yoga. This class is slightly more advanced than the Thursday yoga class, offering students an opportunity to expand their skill level. Class fee is $10.00 per session with multi-session tickets available. Students are asked to bring a yoga mat and towel and to wear comfortable clothing. There will be no class on February 15.
Thursdays from 10:15 am to 11:30 am – Intro to Yoga. Join us for a series of yoga classes taught by Aimee Strohbeck. Please bring a yoga mat and towel and wear comfortable clothing for easy movement. No experience necessary. Class fee is by donation with proceeds benefiting the library.
Thursday, February 11 at 7:00 pm – Adult book discussion led by Marty Kaback. This month’s topic is Sarah’s Key by Tatiana de Rosnay.
Monday, February 15 – The library is closed in observance of the holiday.
Tuesday, February 16 at 7:00 pm – Swanton Public Library Board of Trustees regular monthly meeting. This is a change from its regularly scheduled date due to the holiday. Open to the public.
Wednesday, February 17 from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm – Fix Your Broken Heart with Frosting: Anti-Valentine’s Party for Grades 6-12. Wear anything but red or pink and come to the library to celebrate all the things Valentine’s Day isn’t. We’ll have a shooting range, funny anti-romance videos, broken heart cookies to fix with various kinds of frosting, and a piñata heart filled with candy that will have to be broken! Everyone is welcome, single or not. Registration is requested; go online, call, or stop by the library. FREE!
Thursday, February 18 from 10:00 am to noon – Medicare, Social Security, and Retirement Assistance. Valerie Edwards of the Fulton County Senior Center will work with individuals with questions pertaining to the above. Appointments are required – to schedule your free consultation, contact the Senior Center at 419-337-9299.
Saturday, February 20, 10:30 am to 11:15 am – Sweet Treats for grades K-5. It’s all about candy this month, so get ready to have a tasty time! We’ll read sweet stories, play some gooey games, make a candy craft, and of course do plenty of taste-testing. Register online or call 419-826-2760. Free!
Saturday, February 20 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm – Cardmaking Classes. Our series of cardmaking classes, led by Anna Geis, continues in February with birthday cards. The fee is $5.00 for 3 cards. Tuesday, February 23 from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm – Coloring for Grown-ups. Why should kids have all the fun? Adults are invited to come color and create a beautiful piece to display – we provide coloring sheets and colored pencils.
