Defiance resident Sandy Herman attended her first meeting as a member of the Four County ADAMhs Board on Thursday, March 10. She was appointed by the Defiance County commissioners to fill an unexpired term through June 30, 2018.
Before retiring, Herman spent many years in education, most recently as principal of St. Mary’s Elementary School in Defiance. Now, she volunteers in areas that interest her such as mentoring children and co-facilitating an Alzheimer’s support group for care-givers.
The board approved a $900 contract amendment for Rescue Crisis, Inc. of Toledo. With the increase, the board’s contract with the agency now totals $25,900.
Following the board meeting, the ADAMhs Board held its annual training on the Williams County drug court.
