Tackle Pinterest Projects At The Bryan Public Library

Are you constantly Pinning but have rarely ever tackled a project? Well here’s your chance to get creative, at the Bryan Main Library West Annex, with the upcoming “Saw it, Pin it, Let’s Do it!” Pinterest Parties. Were “In it to Pin it!”

On Tuesday, April 05 take part in the first of a Series of Pinterest Parties! We’re starting out with Fruit and Vegetable Carving. There will be two classes, 10:45 am to 12:00 pm and 6:00 to 7:45 pm. You will learn how to decorate with hors d’oeuvres and make party table masterpieces so appealing they’re almost too beautiful to eat. Make children’s lunches enticing with fruit and veggies by carving many different shapes, such as a swans, dolphins, flowers, frogs, and sharks, etc.! Let’s make our creations together. You can bring a friend, or if you’re not ready to carve, simply come and watch!

To prepare for this program, first go to Pinterest, type in carving fruits and veggies, and pick a project you want to sculpt. You will need to supply your own piece of fruit or veggie and bring a knife to the library event.

The next Pinterest party will be held on Tuesday, April 19 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm and 6:00 to 7:45 pm. At this event you will create a vintage style lamp shade covering by using old maps! Bring a friend and a white or light colored lamp shade to cover and create an amazing ambiance when the lights are turned off! Your lamps will have that amazing old world glow and look regal with any home décor! If you have an old lamp shade you want of refurbish into a stunning creation, bring it in and create your own masterpiece.

All programs will be held in the Harmon Room of the Bryan Main Library West Annex, which is located at 107 East High Street. Sign up for the Pinterest Parties at the Adult Desk or by calling 419-636-6734 ext. 221.
