The Williams County Board will be taking a road trip July 18 to see a Florence Township road up for vacating.

The Florence Township Board of Trustees has forwarded a petition by a local man seeking the vacating of County Road L 50 off CR 2. The man cites the road being unused as the main reason for seeking the vacation.

The county board will view the road at 11:30 a.m. July 18 and convene a hearing July 21 to decide the matter.

Commissioners approved a General Standards Engineering Service Agreement for Alvordton and Kunkle Sanitary plan and master plan update.

The agreement has an estimated fee of $35,000 plus an additional $10,000. The actual charges will be based on time and expenses, and will not exceed the estimated fees without the county’s approval.

Commissioners approved a change order for the clock tower project. The change is due to the installation of a master switch in the timer closet for the clock at a cost $1,250. The change boosts the total cost of the courthouse project to $1,495,325.
