ANTWERP – If you’re going to make a statement, why wait? The Hilltop Lady Cadets followed this simple axiom into Antwerp on February 12, and after a 25-2 run to open the game, cruised to a 52-37 win.
Hannah Bleikamp blew up for 24 points to lead all scorers, while Jackie Smith, Cierra Carpenter and Sam Lillemon each had 8 points, and Emily Armbruster added 4 for the Lady Cadets. Carpenter had 8 assists and 3 steals, Smith had 7 boards and 3 steals, Armbruster posted 6 dimes, and Bleikamp racked up 4 steals.
