On September 8, 2016, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a burglary in progress in Amboy Township. While responding to the call, a deputy came across the suspect’s vehicle. In an attempt to stop it, suspects fled, driving though a yard and down a lane into corn field. The suspects then fled on foot. Corey Richardson, age 40, was arrested a short time later. After an extensive search of the area with the help of Wauseon, Delta, Toledo Police Departments, Lucas County Sheriff’s Office, and Ohio State Highway Patrol, the second suspect was not found.

The description of the vehicle and suspects was given by witnesses and other evidence collected from burglaries occurring earlier in the week in Fulton County, City of Wauseon, and other areas of Lucas County, leads the Sheriff’s office to believe that these suspects are associated with those burglaries.

Corey Richardson was taken to the Fulton County Health Center for minor injuries and then taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio and booked for Aggravated Burglary. Other charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
