3-arts-club-newsThe October meeting of the Three Arts Club was held at the West Unity Library. We had two speakers for the evening. The first speaker was Jeff Yahraus from the Williams County Libraries. He spoke about the 1 mill library levy on the November ballot. With the passage of the levy, many services that had previously been cut would again be reinstated, and the many people who use the libraries would benefit.

The second speaker was Don Allison from The Bryan Times. He talked about his paranormal experiences. Many of them happened during the renovation of his current house, which has a historical past. Some of these experiences are still occurring to this day. He also told about his ghostly experiences while visiting Gettysburg with his grandson several years ago. All of these paranormal experiences are talked about in his book “I Met A Ghost at Gettysburg”. His talk on this subject was very interesting and intriguing.

The meeting was then called to order. Fourteen members were in attendance. A thank you was read from Candy Tressler thanking the members for their cards and prayers during her surgery and recovery.

The club is sponsoring an Election-Night Supper on November 8 from 4:30-7:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church. On the menu is chili, hot dogs, hot chicken sandwiches along with desert and a drink all for a free will donation. When all the plans for the supper were finalized, the meeting was adjourned. The November meeting will be held at 10,000 Villages in Archbold.
