The first Coffee with a Cop event in Montpelier had a tepid response from the public.

Police Chief Dan McGee said only five to six adults showed up at the station the morning of Oct. 20, along with the same number of children.

The rain that day may have dampened interest in the event, he said.

Still, he got a chance to talk with the public and hear some personal complaints and concerns.

He may hold another event in the future.
