Toledo, OH – Family Service of Northwest Ohio, Four County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services, and Poggemeyer Design Group will host an Open House to celebrate the completion of the new Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit. The event will take place on Friday, January 13th at Comprehensive Crisis Care located at 600 Freedom Drive, Napoleon, OH. The event is open to the public from 1:00-4:00 p.m. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 1:30.

Family Service of Northwest Ohio (FSNO) has been in the forefront of providing mental health counseling, home care, outreach, advocacy and educational services that meet the needs of families since 1904. One of six FSNO facilities providing these much needed services is Comprehensive Crisis Care (CCC) in Napoleon.

Comprehensive Crisis Care first opened its doors in 1984 as an information and referral provider for Henry County residents under the name of First Call For Help. Over the years, its service area grew to include the counties of Defiance, Fulton and Williams; and mental health professionals were added to provide emergency psychiatric assistance.

The addition of the 10-bed Adult CSU addresses the needs of the Four County area. The CSU will provide behavioral health treatment and assessment, as well as psychiatric evaluation and monitoring. The hours of operation are 24-hours a day/7 days per week/365 days per year.

The CSU will serve adults 18 and over, both male and female. Adults will be in need of crisis stabilization, ambulatory detox, behavioral health assessment and treatment planning and psychiatric services. The CSU is an important part of the mental health system in the Four County area; it augments the continuum of care for adults with behavior health issues in the area and allows for the client to receive treatment in their own community with family involvement, as appropriate. Without this new addition, the nearest access to treatment was over 65 miles away.

Family Service of Northwest Ohio is certified by ODMHAS and is licensed as a residential type 1 facility by ODMHAS.
