Monday, January 9 Scoring Summaries

BOYS VARSITY BOWLING

Wauseon 2177, Swanton 1981

The Indians (6-2, 4-2) dominated the lanes at the Swanton Bowling Center against the Bulldogs. Nicolas Kearney and Quincy Rohda with  Kearney’s 371 and Rohda’s 368. Skyler Ulch led Swanton (3-5, 3-4) with 333 while Fred Blankenship rolled a 323.

 

GIRLS VARSITY BOWLING

Wauseon 1912, Swanton 1657

Mackayla Kearney led the Indians with games of 155 and 164 for a 319 series. Hayley McMahan was first for Swanton with a 124 and 177 for a 301 series.

 

JUNIOR HIGH BOYS BASKETBALL

North Central 51, Fayette 34

7th grade – North Central used a monster effort from Zack Hayes in the win. Hayes connected for 27 points. Others scoring for the Eagles were Colton Hick eight, Sammy Wheeler seven, Tucker Beres six, Mason Sanford two and Ryan Pfund with one point.

Fayette 48, North Central 15

8th grade – Fayette got revenge in the second game. Leading North Central were Jack Zenz, Roman Sutton, and Travis Shmunk with four points each and Luke Zuver added three points.

 

Edon 50, Pettisville 20

7th grade – Edon’s D. Gallehue poured in 24 points as the Bombers finished with a 30-point advantage over Pettisville. Gideon Myers and Josh Basselman scored six points apiece for the Blackbirds.

JUNIOR HIGH GIRLS BASKETBALL

Edon 27, Pettisville 16

8th grade – Edon opened up an 11-2 first quarter advantage as they ran past the Blackbirds. Briner finished with 12 points for the Bombers and Green added seven points. Pettisville was led by Xavia Borden with eight points, Elise Hartzler with four points and Kenzi Rivera and Anna Hudspeatch with two points each.

Pettisville 23, Edon 19

7th grade – Karsyn Hostetler and Karsen Pursel scored eight points apiece to help outscore Edon 11-5 during second half action to gain the win. Ally Kaylor led the Bombers with seven points.

 

Fayette 42, North Central 10

8th grade – Fayette dominated play as T. Fruchey with 18 points and J. Robinson with 12 points led the charge.

North Central 32, Fayette 26

7th grade – The Eagles took the upper hand in the eighth grade battle. Madison Brown led the North Central scoring with 19 points while Lauren Balser added sixe and Jessie Lonabarger finished with five. E. Leininger and B. Lloyd led Fayette with 11 and 10 points respectively.
