GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL

Bryan 53, Ottawa Hills 21

 FRESHMAN BASKETBALL

North Central 32, Hilltop 31

The Eagles came back from an 18-12 half-time deficit to squeak out the BBC win. North Central was led by a trio of players finishing with eight points, they were: Landon Patton, Mike Cummins and Alex Lehsten.  Shilling led Hilltop with 11 points.

Pettisville 32, Evergreen 26

After scoring just 13 points during the first three quarters, Evergreen stormed back with 13 points in the fourth quarter but it wasn’t enough as the Blackbirds ran to their sixth win of the season. Pettisville was led by Mitchell Avina with 11 points and Joel Flory with 10.

GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL

Delta 31, Pettisville 8

8th grade – Delta ran off to an 11-2 first quarter lead and never looked back as the Blackbirds struggled offensively. Delta’s Green led all scorers with 13 points. Ellie Wixom led Pettisville with four points while Xavia Borden and Kenzi Rivera finished with two points apiece.

Pettisville 25, Delta 7

The Blackbirds improved to 13-2 overall with the non-conference victory over the Panthers. Karsen Pursel and Addison Moyer finished with eight points apiece for Pettisville. Wlfram led Delta with three points.

Fayette 21, Stryker 7

7th grade – A 12-3 second half run by the Eagles sent them to the win. Lloyd led Fayette with 12 points. Kaila Patterson, Brianna Breier and Marissa Myers led Stryker with two points apiece.

Fayette 29, Stryker 5

8th grade – Fayette rolled as they took an 18-2 lead into the locker room at the break. Fruchey led Fayette with 11 points while Giana added eight points in the win. Kinsey Myers was the top point getter for Styrker finishing with four.

North Central 48, Hilltop 23

7th grade – The Eagles soared to victory behind a 20 points performance by Madison Brown. Lauren Balser added 12 points while Erin Elser finished with eight. Alex Horton paced the Cadets with six points and Sarah Laney added five.

Hilltop 34, North Central 25

8th grade – Sarah Barnum led the charge as she led the Cadets with 14 points in the win. Kodi Brenner added eight points in support. The Eagles were led by Maizie Zimmerman and Madison Brown with six points apiece. Kyleigh Westfall added five points.

BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL

North Central 46, Hilltop 9

7th grade – The Eagles got the lopsided win over Hilltop as they were led by Zach Hayes with 11 points, Tucker Beres with 10, Colin Patten with nine, Colton Hicks and Mason Sanford with five points apiece and Teegan Helms and Sammy Wheeler with three points each.

Hilltop 30, North Central 21

8th grade – Leading the Eagles in scoring were Roman Sutton with 16 points, Adam Bentley with three and Ben Turner with two points.

GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL

North Central 29, Fayette 27

The Eagles used a 16-11 first half cushion to hold off the Eagles down the stretch as they gained their sixth win of the season and fifth in BBC play. Alyssa Swank led North Central with 13 points with nine of her points coming from three-point land. Jennaya Hibbard was the top point producer for Fayette as she finished with eight points.

BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL

Fayette 43, Montpelier 13

7th grade – David Bowman led Montpelier with seven points.

Montpelier 39, Fayette 38

8th grade – Tylor Yahraus led the Locos in scoring with 11 points while Thomas Jay added eight.

Hilltop 35, Pettisville 13

7th grade – The Cadets started the contest with a 22-0 first half run. Hoffman led Hilltop with 11 points. Gideon Myers scored 10 of the Pettisville points.

GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL

Fayette 20, Montpelier 19

7th grade – Ariel Page led Montpelier with 10 points.

Montpelier 18, Fayette 15

8th grade – Ali Repp finished with eight points for the Locos.

North Central 39, Stryker 10

7th grade – Dominating performances by Erin Elser with 14 points and team mate Madison Brown with 12 led the Eagles to the victory. Kendal Bonney added seven points.

North Central 43, Stryker 26

8th grade – Contributing to the Eagles victory were: Makala Meyers with seven points and Maizie Zimmerman, Kristen Hickman, Kyleigh Westfall all with six points apiece. Stryker was led by Kinsey Meyers with 14 and Woolace with seven.
