Thursday, February 9 Scoring Summaries

GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL

Stryker 40, North Central 27

The Panthers improved to 17-3 with their BBC victory over the Eagles. Haley Doehrmann led Stryker with 15 points while Taylor Maines added 13 points. North Central’s Makayla Hayes finished with 12 points to lead her team.

Pettisville 42, Hilltop 22

Behind 16 points from Alexa Lepplemeier, the Blackbirds moved to a half game lead in the BBC with their 15th win.  Adding to Leppelmeier’s success was Nichole Foor who added nine points. Hilltop (5-14) was lead by Molly Roesch with seven and Abby Schaper with six points.

Edon 47, Maumee Country Valley Day 31

The Bombers crashed the boards with 32 defensive rebounds to help lead them to win number three. Edon opened up a 25-15 half-time lead as they dominated from the start. Claire Radabaugh led the Bombers with 12 points and Hannah Kaylor added 11 points.

Montpelier 44, Fayette 30

The Locos (8-12) jumped on top 18-8 to end the first half as their defense held Fayette scoreless in the second quarter. Jaelyn Lyons led Montpelier with 10 points and nine rebounds. Lyons also added seven steals while Mckenna Quaderer collected four thefts. Fayette was led by Jennaya Hibbard’s nine points.

Delta 50, Bryan 29

The Panthers improved to 11-8 on the season with the NWOAL win. After building a 25-12 halftime lead, Delta put 18 points on the board in the third quarter to put the game away. Maddie Mattimore collected 23 points in the win while Abby Freeman added 18. Kennedy Lamberson and Allye Minor led Bryan with nine points apiece.

Archbold 61, Liberty Center 33

The Bluestreaks rolled to their 20th straight win remaining undefeated. Arcbhold dominated throughout gaining a 17-7 first quarter lead that continued to a 28-16 half time advantage. Mogran Miller led the Streaks with 13 points while Blair Bucklew added 12 points and Kierstyn Repp contributed with 11.

GIRLS JUNIOR VARSITY BASKETBALL

Montpelier 30, Fayette 18

The Locos got eight points apiece by Tory Steffed, Halle Rose and Kimme Engels as they were the victors in the BBC clash with the Eagles. Addisyn Bentley led Fayette with seven points.

BOYS FRESHMAN BASKETBALL

Stryker 33, North Central 31

It was a buzzer-beater three that helped the Panthers prevail over North Central. Wonders from Stryker was the game’s hero with his three pointer as time ran out. Stryker took advantage with the three ball as well in the third quarter as three players connected from beyond the arc. Wonders led the Panthers with 14 points to be the only player in the game in double figures. Landon Patten and Alex Lehsten led North Central with eight points apiece.

GIRLS  JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL

Montpelier 27, Fayette 22

The Locos were led by Jessi Bumb led with 12 points, Tristen Bexten, Sonja Alvira and Ali Repp with four apiece and Emily Fritsch added three.
