Northwest Ohio Fruit Growers Invited To Informational Event

Fulton and Williams County OSU Extension invites area fruit growers to attend the Fruit Growers Workshop on March 17th, 2017 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm at Northwest State Community College, Voinovich Auditorium, Archbold, OH.

Presenters for the day include: Brad Bergefurd, OSU Extension Educator, South Center, Horticulture; Beth Scheckelhoff, OSU Extension Greenhouse Specialist; and Timothy Malinich, OSU Extension Educator, Erie County.

Topics covered will include: strawberry production; peaches, pears, apples – production, IPM & pruning; hop production; blackberry production; Food Safety and Modernization Act; direct marketing; and growing alternative fruits.

The event will be coordinated by Eric Richer, Extension Educator, Fulton County and Florian Chirra, Extension Educator, Williams County.
