The Maumee Valley Planning Organization (MVPO) is currently in the process of developing a Regional Transportation Improvement Program (RTIP) for the counties of Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Paulding and Williams. The RTIP is a short range planning document that lists projects in the region with state and federal funding scheduled to be implemented from State Fiscal Years 2018-2021. This document is being developed in coordination with the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) and will be included in the STIP when completed. Public open house meetings will be held to give the public an opportunity to review the draft RTIP and provide input on the following dates:
Tuesday, March 28, 2017 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. at the Archbold Community Library (205 Stryker St. Archbold, OH 43502)
Thursday, April 6, 2017 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. at the Defiance County EMA (22491 Mill St, Defiance, OH 43512)
Members of the public can come and go as they please throughout the 3 hour time period of each public open house meeting. Each open house will make the same information available, they will simply be offered in separate locations for convenience. The draft RTIP document is now available on MVPO’s website www.mvpo.org/transportation and members of the public are encouraged to submit comments or questions about the draft.
