Phillip Malone, II photo web

Phillip Lee Malone, II, 38, of Montpelier, passed away on Saturday at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on March 7, 1975 in Montpelier. Phillip graduated from Montpelier High School in 1994. Shortly after graduation Phillip joined the United States Navy and honorably served his country as a member for four years.

On September 28, 2010 he married Toshia M. Lautermilch in West Unity, Ohio. He worked at Pioneer Forge for 13 ½ years as a hammer operator and most recently, a utility supervisor. He was a hardworking and devoted family man who had a great love for his wife and children and also his pets.

Phillip is survived by his wife, Toshia M. Malone; four children, Anthony, Jacob, Jarett and Destiny; parents, Phillip Lee Malone and Janice (Pepple) Malone of Montpelier; sister, Nicki (Mike) Boggs of West Unity; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and good friends.

Phillip was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Helen Malone and his wife’s grandparents, Paul and Vanda Lautermilch and Charles Thompson.

Donations may be made in memory of Phillip to The Enrichment Center in Montpelier, the Williams County Humane Society or to the Williams County Veterans Building. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
