ACME BASEBALL: Edgerton Beats Hicksville & Fairview To Clinch First Ever State Berth

DISTRICT SEMIFINAL … Edgerton’s Scottie Krontz leads off the third inning with a single. Krontz got the win on the mound in the semifinals versus Hicksville and then pitched a complete game for the 7-0 win over Fairview in the district championship game. SHERWOOD – Cory Herman went 3-4 with an RBI to lead Edgerton (13-4) past Hicksville 9-2 in the ACME baseball District 7 district semifinals.

Jackson Flower added two singles and two RBIs and Mason Elden added a hit and knocked in two runs.

SHERWOOD – Maddox Baker singled twice and drove in two runs and Jackson Flower had two hits as Edgerton beat Fairview 7-0 to advance to their first ever ACME state tournament.

Scottie Krontz tossed a complete game three-hitter to take the win on the hill. Edgerton (14-4) will face the champion of District 6 in the state quarterfinals on July 13 at 4:30pm in Coldwater.
