The Archbold Board of Education held their meeting on Monday, December 20th at 5:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Board members first moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting that took place on November 15th followed by the November financial reports.
The board then discussed and approved the modifications as submitted as well as a transfer of $4,344.42 from the GF fund to Turbine maintenance, 003-9001. The board then moved to approve Resolution 2021-2 from the Archbold Community Library Board of Trustees and is as follows.
A resolution requesting The Board of Education of the Archbold Local School district, Ohio to submit to the electors of the library district of the Archbold Community library, the question of a replacement of an existing tax for current expenses of the Archbold Community Library.
Brent Gnagey was then appointed to the Archbold Community Library for a seven-year term to begin on January 1st, 2022.
The following issues were then approved by the board. An agreement with Kinsman Propane Inc. A Then and Now to The Village of Archbold, December 15th, 2021, for $3,591.00 for Football Field Maintenance.
An agreement between Archbold Area Schools and The Village of Archbold for the maintenance of AHS Football Field and Spengler Field. A list of paraprofessional substitutes provided by the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center for the 2021-2022 school year as presented.
Multiple personnel recommendations were then approved followed by administrative reports. The superintendent wished to thank Kathy Beck and Crista Bacarella for their years of service to the schools and wished them the best of luck.
A discussion was held regarding the renewal agreement between the school and the Archbold Parks and Recreation before recognizing members of the school board.
It was stated that the Archbold Area School District and the community of Archbold are grateful to the 12 years of service that Mr. Roel Galvan and Mr. Phill Nofziger have provided while on the Archbold School Board.
School building principals then gave their reports before the board adjourned for the evening.
