As of July 1, there were 1,266 municipalities in the nation that have total smoke-free park ordinances, Morr said. Council passed Ordinance 2016-05 which repealed Ordinance 2015-8 which set the salaries, benefits and certain duties for elected and appointed officials and hourly employees. The legislation was needed to set the salary for new Administrator Alan Riegsdecker. His salary will be $1,816.80 bi-weekly. No other salaries were affected. The first bus arrives at the school each day at 7:41 a.m. and the last by 7:45. There was an adjustment made after it was determined that 70 children ride the new town route and the bus was not big enough. Donna L. Lump, age 88, of Edon, Ohio, died at 1:20 A.M. on Monday, September 19, 2016, at Park View Nursing Center in Edgerton, Ohio, where she was a resident. With registration beginning at 8:00 AM, approximately 155 participants gathered at the football/track stadium to run in either the 5k race or the one-mile fun run. Twenty-five years ago an un-ranked team from Hilltop High School made school history as the only team to win a state championship title. These nine girls did so by defeating Stryker in the district tournament, then Fort Recovery; the defending Division IV state champions in the regional tournament.
