STRYKER (April 21, 2026) — Even though there is a lot of one-on-one between pitcher and batter, baseball is still a team game.
North Central reached the epitome of a team effort when the quintet of Alex St. John, Logan Clark, Brody Taylor, Gentry Fackler and Aiden Meyers each threw an inning of no-hit ball in a 14-0 shutout of Stryker.
“It was good to have a lot of guys get work today and see them throw strikes,” North Central coach Anthony Kidston said.
“We got some of our younger guys an inning each, and they were effective, so it was a really good day all the way around.”
The only Stryker (1-7, 1-2 BBC) baserunner came in the fourth inning when Dylan Rivas drew a walk off Fackler. Other than that, the fivesome struck out seven Panther hitters, with Clark, Taylor and Meyers each recording two strikeouts.

Offensively, the Eagles struck early, plating six runs in the first inning against starter Logan Emmons. Four Stryker errors and a pair of wild pitches helped the cause, as the Eagles used three hits to score the six runs.
Tyler Meyers had the capper of the inning, an RBI single in his second trip to the plate in the frame.
After another error and a hit batter, Easton Fidler brought home two more Eagle tallies in the second with a line-drive single to left, boosting the margin to 8-0.
North Central’s (6-4, 3-1 BBC) lead expanded to 12-0 in the third, as Jackson Poynter’s single, Briggs Fiser’s booming double and Taylor’s single all drove in runs.
“We try to be aggressive on the base paths, and fortunately we got some guys on early in the game to make that happen,” Kidston said of the fast start. “We are swinging it better as a team, especially from where we started the year, so hopefully we can keep that rolling.”
Poynter doubled and came home on a ground ball in the fourth, and Fidler scored on a throwing error in the fifth to put a lid on the Eagles’ scoring.
