The Blakeslee Village Council held their meeting on Wednesday, July 3rd. The meeting began at 6:00 p.m. with council first moving to approve minutes from the June meeting.

Next, council reviewed and signed the monthly financial reports as presented by Fiscal Officer Courtny Osborn.

Linda Muehlfeld then reported that Todd Roth with the county will be by to start durapatching before fall.

The following additional items were then discussed. The old “bike buildings” have been submitted to the land bank.

Also, Mayor Jenkins reported that a letter will be written to the residents who need to fix their sidewalk. He will write this letter up and let council approve it. Residents will then have one year to fix their sidewalks.

Jenkins also stated there is a resident who would like a streetlight installed near her home. It was stated that, at this time, the village does not have the budget for this.

With no further business left to attend to, the meeting was adjourned. The next regular meeting will be held on Thursday, August 15th at 6:00 p.m.
