The Brady Township Trustees approved a new piece of equipment for the fire department and discussed upcoming road and fire hall work during their August 10, 2026, meeting.
Trustees Willie Grime, Jim Eisel, Tim Nofziger, and Fiscal Officer Chrystal Maneval were in attendance.
Fire Chief Justin Smith requested the purchase of a new headphone set for one of the department’s fire trucks after the current equipment stopped working properly. The replacement will cost $3,200 through P&R Communications.
Trustees also discussed the need to move forward with painting the fire hall roof. Eisel suggested looking for another contractor, since it’s been two years since the township received its original quote. The project remains uncompleted.
Several road matters were also discussed. Nofziger reported that the south side of CR M has been marked through the Ohio Utilities Protection Service (OUPS).
The township plans to install a structure near the pipes so the catch basin can be raised. Officials noted there is currently too much of a drop from the road to the culvert and the area needs to be tapered.
The township plans on participating in an upcoming pavement marking project through the Williams County Engineer’s Office. Four miles of Brady Township roadways were requested for line striping.
The Brady Township Trustees will hold their next regular meeting on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 7 p.m.
