BRYAN BOARD OF EDUCATION: Board Receives Update On High School Addition

The Bryan Board of Education held their meeting on Monday, July 8th. The meeting began at 7:45 a.m. Board members first moved to approve minutes from the June 10th meeting minutes before hearing the Four County Career Center report.

Next came the treasurer’s report, with the following items being approved. A list of the monthly financial reports, change funds for 2024-2025, petty cash funds for 2024-2025, and a Technical Services Agreement with NBEC for FY24.

An update was then delivered by Mark Rairigh regarding the Brownfield Grant and high school addition project before moving on to approve the following items listed under the Superintendent’s report.

A Memorandum of Understanding with Defiance College Student Teaching, a Resolution to formally recognize District Support Organization as part of the Bryan City School District, the 2024-2025 School Year Transportation list, and an agreement with the University of Toledo School of Psychology for an internship.

Next, numerous personnel items were approved, as well as the salary schedule placement for the 2024-2025 school year.

With no other items to attend to, board members moved to adjourn at 8:06 a.m. The next meeting will be held on Monday, August 19th at 6:00 p.m. in the Bryan Elementary Commons.
