August 28, 2015Updated:November 30, 2016No Comments1 Min Read

A new scam is costing local businesses hundreds of dollars. Someone has been calling local businesses and posing as a representative from Toledo Edison.

The caller asks for an immediate payment or threatens to shut the power off if people don’t comply. They may ask for a pre pay credit card.

Be aware of this scam and if you feel that you are or have been a target, do not hesitate to contact local law enforcement.
