C. A. “Skip” Baumgartner (1940-2020)

C.A. “Skip” Baumgartner, age 80, of Wauseon, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 21, 1940 to C. Eugene Robinson and Helen L. Dunlap in Wauseon, Ohio. Skip was a graduate of Wauseon High School and was raised on a horse farm.

Her love and compassion for horses carried onto her adult life where she shared this passion with her children. She worked for nearly 20 years at United Telephone – Operator 32. When she wasn’t  working or taking care of the horses she enjoyed rooting for the Pittsburgh Penguins and Las Vegas Golden Knights.

Skip had great love for her family, birds, horses, nature and will be remembered as a hard working and dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She will be missed.

She is survived by her children, Robin Dielman-Baumgartner, Robert (Vicki) Baumgartner, Christopher (Michelle) Baumgartner and Roberta Baumgartner; grandchildren, Brandon (Shawna), Gabe, Mike (Jaime), Jared, Jordanne, Elizabeth (Rick), Chrystal, Tammy, Carrie (T.J.), Danielle, Taylor, Kristina (Josh), Lauren, William, Alyssa, Micheala and Emma; many adorable and precious great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Chloe Anne Ducharm and Tony Robinson and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Skip will be held from 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at the Homecoming Park Shelter House. A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00 P.M., also at the shelter house.


Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com. Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
