Dale F. Norden, age 78, of Stryker, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2018, at the Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold.
He had worked for the former Sheppard Tobacco Company in Ridgeville Corners, for six years after high school, then worked for Krueger Construction in Archbold until 1978. At that time, Dale, along with two other partners, started BGN LP Gas in Stryker. He worked at BGN until 1996 when they sold the business to Thermogas.
In his retirement he enjoyed fishing. Dale was born in Ridgeville Corners on May 19, 1940, the son of Frederick and Amelia (Meyer) Norden. On February 26, 1965, he married Lucille V. Baer, and she survives. He was a graduate of Ridgeville High School in 1958.
Surviving is his wife, Lucille, and one son, Brian Norden of Edon, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Marvin Norden; and one sister, Emma Krieger.
To fulfill Dale’s last wishes, there will be no visitation of funeral services. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Stryker.
