Daniel A. Mutchler, age 73, of Delta passed away peacefully Wednesday morning February 17, 2016 at his home. He was born in Toledo on August 26, 1942 to the late William and Mary Jane (Phillips) Mutchler. On July 8, 1967 he married Dolores Kalinowski in Toledo and they shared 48 happy years together.
Daniel was a lifelong farmer and member of Laborer’s Local 500 and worked for them as a laborer for eighteen years. He also owned and operated Dan’s Gun Shop and Dan’s Produce and Ornamentals. Dan enjoyed collecting John Deere tractors and models. He also enjoyed photography, especially taking photographs of landscape and scenery. Most of all he was known for his social skills and storytelling.
Surviving is his wife, Dolores; brother, David Mutchler; sister-in-law, Cynthia (Mark) Waldmannstetter and nephews, Andy Mutchler, Joel Mutchler, Bill Benarth and Doug Waldmannstetter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Mary Jane Mutchler and niece, Rachel Grajczyk.
Friends and family will be received from 2-6 PM on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St Hwy 109 in Delta. A funeral service celebrating Daniel’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 22, 2016; at the Funeral Chapel. Pastor Eric Markovich will be officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Greenlawn cemetery in Delta.
