Dock Pigmon III (1957-2020)

Dock Pigmon III, age 62, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 5:08 A.M. on Friday, March 27, 2020, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, after an extended illness.

Dock received his Associate Degree in Accounting from Northwest State Community College and later his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from University of Findlay.

He was employed by Chase Brass near Montpelier, Ohio, for many years serving as controller and later was a partner in and eventual sole owner of Duracoat Powder & Finishing, LLC in Bryan, Ohio, operating since the 1990s.

Dock was an avid biker and one of the founders of the Dawgs Motorcycle Club, which often raised money for several area charities. He was also an avid dart,  pool and poker player, enjoyed hunting and collecting, and displayed at numerous flea markets throughout the years and established his own flea market in Edgerton.

A world traveler, he visited numerous countries with his wife, kids, and grandkids, and enjoyed road trips that took him to all fifty states.


Dock Pigmon III was born on May 26, 1957, in Louisa, Kentucky, the son of Dock and Laura (Powers) Pigmon II.  He married Joyce L. Louth on July 17, 1973, in New Castle, Pennsylvania,  and she survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Earl Jay (Bonnie) Pigmon, of Auburn, Indiana, and Dock Pigmon IV, of Bryan; one daughter, Carrie Pigmon, of Bryan; three grandchildren, Dock Pigmon V, Jacob Hausch, and Ferdinando Amato, Jr.; his mother, Laura (Keith) Bowers, of Bryan; two sisters, Elesa (Ger) Brenner, of Edgerton, and Lois Cuenca, of Bryan; and numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, William J. “Jay” Pigmon; a niece, Heather Michelle Pigmon; and a nephew, Billy Joel Pigmon.


In keeping with Dock’s requests, there will be no visitation or services at this time. A celebration of his life will take palce at a later date.

Memorials are requested to Williams County Humane Society.
