Edgerton Celebrates 2021 Winter Homecoming

The Edgerton High School Winter Homecoming Ceremony took place in the high school gymnasium on Saturday, January 30, 2021. The ceremony was held before the JV game this year whereas in previous years it was held between JV and Varsity.

The first Queen candidate was Miss Avrey Degryse, Log of E representative. Avrey is the daughter of Tammy Cupp and Dustin Degryse. She has 4 siblings; Jayden (22), Autumn (21), Brody (20), and Cydney (15).

During Avrey’s high school career, she has been involved in Log of E, National Honor Society, and FEA. In her spare time, she enjoys watching copious romantic comedies with her mother. Avrey’s favorite teacher, Mr. Davis, teaches her favorite class, Statistics. After graduation, she plans to enter the workforce.

Avery’s Senior Escort was Mr. Jordan Warner, Log of E representative. Jordan is the son of Marcy Warner and David Warner and step-son of Shannon Warner. During Jordan’s high school career, he has been involved in Football, Wrestling, Baseball, National Honor Society, Spanish Club, and Yearbook.

In his spare time, Jordan enjoys “Playing ‘tratters’ with the boys from sun up ‘til sundown, watching the Cars movie on repeat, and going fishing with Nate T.” His favorite class is British Literature and his favorite teacher is Mrs. Bales. Jordan’s plans after graduation are currently undecided.

The second Queen candidate was Miss Allison Elliot, Quiz Bowl representative. Allison is the daughter of Michelle and Steven Elliott. She has one sister named Delaney (21).

During her high school career, Allison has been involved in National Honor Society, Quiz Bowl, Softball, and Cross Country. In her spare time, she enjoys thrifting, painting, and getting coffee.

Allison’s favorite class is AP Literature and her favorite teacher is Mr. Bales. After graduation, Allison plans on attending the University of Toledo and majoring in Political Science.

Allison’s Senior Escort this evening is Mr. Craig Blue, FEA representative. Craig is the son of Dawn and Jason Blue. He has four siblings, Kiersten (23), Derek (21), Kendra (20), and Quentin (15).

During his high school career, Craig has been involved in FEA, Spanish club, National Honor Society, football, basketball, and track.

In his spare time, Craig enjoys “playing ‘tratters’ with the boys from sun up ‘til sundown, watching the Cars movie on repeat, and going fishing with Nate T.” His favorite class is Anatomy and his favorite teacher is Mrs. Cooley. Craig’s plans after graduation are currently undecided.

Coldwell Banker – Jennifer Tarkington

The next Queen candidate was Miss Rylei Moreno, FCA representative. Rylei is the daughter of Rachel and Shawn Moreno. She has one sister named Hannah (23).

During Rylei’s high school career, she has been involved in FCA, Softball, Volleyball, and Basketball; is an officer for her senior class, National Honor Society, and FEA; is a Log of E editor and is part of the Kidzworld staff at Life Changing Church.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading her Bible and taking her little cousins to church every Sunday. Her favorite class is CCP Human Body and her favorite teacher is Mrs. Rendlemen.

After graduation, Rylei will be attending Trine University majoring in Biology in hopes of becoming a surgical physician’s assistant.

Rylei’s Senior Escort this evening is Mr. Cameron Hicks, Boys’ Basketball representative. Cameron is the son of Camie and Rob Hicks. He has two siblings; Dustin (34) and Braden (23).

During Cameron’s high school career, he has been involved in Basketball, FFA, Spanish Club, and National Honor Society.

In his spare time, he enjoys “playing ‘tratters’ with the boys from sun up ‘til sundown, watching the Cars movie on repeat, and going fishing with Nate T.” His favorite class is NOVA and his favorite teacher is Mrs. Cooley.

After graduation, Cameron plans on majoring in accounting/business at an undecided college.

The fourth Queen candidate was Miss Audrey Schroeder, Girls’ Basketball representative. Audrey is the daughter of Mary Ann and Gary Schroeder. She has four siblings: Laurel (25), Isaac (23), Rachel (21), and Rebecca (21).

During Audrey’s high school career, she has been involved in Cross Country, Basketball, Track, Cheer, FEA, FCA, National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Log of E, 4-H, and is a class and FFA officer.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching Netflix, sleeping, playing sports, and going out to get Mexican food with her friends. Audrey’s favorite class is CCP Biology.

Her favorite teacher is Mrs. Manning. After graduation, Audrey plans on attending an undecided college majoring in Agriculture Communications with a minor in Business Administration.

Audrey’s Senior Escort for the evening was Mr. Noah Landel, National Honor Society representative. Noah is the son of Jodi and Jeff Landel. Noah has two siblings: Mallorea (25) and Natalee (22).

During his high school career, Noah has been involved in National Honor Society, Spanish Club, FFA, golf, basketball, and baseball.

After graduation, Noah plans on attending Northwest State to study in Industrial Electricity and Programming.

The final Queen candidate for the evening was Miss Aislinn Trojo, FEA representative. Aislinn is the daughter of Maura and Jose Trejo. She has one sister named Fernanda (10).

During her high school career, Aislinn has been involved in Quiz Bowl, Spanish Club, NHS, debate, HOBY, musical, has held class officer positions, and is the FEA secretary.

In her spare time, she enjoys coffee runs, shopping, listening to music, and watching Netflix and TikTok. Aislinn’s favorite class is CCP Human Body and her favorite teacher is Ms. Rendleman.

After graduation, Aislinn is planning on attending an undecided college majoring in Biochemistry with a Pre-med pathway.

Woolace Electric

Aislinn’s Senior Escort for this evening was Mr. Troy Wolfe, Student Council representative. Troy is the son of Brenda and Kevin Wolfe. He has two siblings: Amanda and Lucas. During his high school career, Troy has been involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, basketball, and baseball.

In his spare time, Troy enjoys “playing ‘tratters’ with the boys from sun up ‘til sundown, watching the Cars movie on repeat, and going fishing with Nate T.” Troy’s favorite class is Anatomy with his favorite teacher Mr. Gilliland.

After graduation, Troy plans on attending the University of Findlay and majoring in Biology.

Last year’s queen and king, there to crown the new Royalty, were Miss Madison Smith and Mr. Jaron Cape.

Madison is attending The University of Toledo majoring in Nursing. Jaron is currently attending Trine University majoring in Civil Engineering.
