EHS-2015-CC-Pumpkin-Run WEBExcitement was in the air as parents, grandparents and friends gathered for the Eighth Annual Edon Pumpkin Run held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Walz Park.

Spearheaded by Cross Country Coach Terry Whitney and his teams (with added support from Edon Athletic Boosters), the event is similar to other Mini-Bomber programs offered at Edon Northwest Local Schools. Intended to encourage students to learn about the sport of running and to become more active and physically fit, organizers hoped everyone just had fun!

Nearly seventy students in grades one through six enjoyed Indian summer temperatures while completing the quarter-mile or half-mile winding course. At the end of the race, each entrant received a special orange “Edon Pumpkin Run” participation ribbon, pumpkin and pumpkin cookie. Plaques were also presented to the top male and female runner for each grade.
