(August 28th, 2014)-ANTWERP: They lasted four hard fought sets, but Edon couldn’t manage a win at Antwerp.
Game 1 set the tone for the evening, as the Bombers pushed the Lady Archers to their limit. The girls from Edon dropped the set, however, losing 22-25. The Lady Bombers didn’t relent going into the second set, and it paid off with a victory. Edon took the game 25-21. Antwerp controlled game 3, as the Bombers fell 13-25. Attempting to force a decisive game 5, the Lady Bombers put everything they had into the fourth set. It wasn’t quite enough, though, as they lost 23-25.
Alex Kiess, usually one to set her fellow Bombers up, made 13 kills to go along with her 7 assists and 7 digs. Kaela Gearhart had 17 assists, 7 digs, and 1 ace for Edon. Hannah Kaylor was responsible for 7 digs and 5 kills.
