STATE SOILS … On October 12th, Evergreen FFA members competed at the Ohio FFA State Soil Judging Competition. These members had recently competed in the county and district level competitions where they were able to advance to the state contest. The team consisted of junior- Riley Studenka, and sophomores- Jackson Huffman, Alex Paulson, and Jailyn Prayter. These members worked hard to prepare for the contest and attended various practices. The team judged three different soil pits for texture, landforms, slope, and drainage. The team placed 35th overall in the state level competition.
