(September 20th, 2014)-HICKSVILLE: The Lady Eagles of Fayette split a tri-match with hosting team Hicksville and fellow traveler Montpelier.

Montpelier was the first opponent for Fayette. The Eagles were able to procure game 1 from the Locos, taking the set 25-12. Montpelier came chugging back, however, winning game 2 25-21. The decisive third game was a close one, but it was Fayette who pulled out the victory 25-17.

Hannah Machacek led the Lady Eagles with 13 assists, 3 kills, 2 digs, and 2 aces. Teammate McKenzee Schaffner defended the Fayette floor with 15 digs.

Hicksville was up next for Fayette, and the hometown team stepped onto the court ready to play, taking down Fayette in straight sets. Game 1 saw the Lady Eagles fall 9-25 to the Aces. The second set was a bit closer, but the Eagles still lost 12-25.

McKenzee Schaffner again refused to let the ball touch the floor, making 16 digs for Fayette. Jessie Wheeler and Michaela Bates both led the team in kills with 3 each.
