Fayette JV Pulls Ahead Early, Stays On Top Of Montpelier

(January 31st, 2015) – MONTPELIER: The Eagles of Fayette Junior Varsity boys challenged the boys of Montpelier on their own court.

The result was a 32-22 win by Fayette over the Locos.

Montpelier came out of the first quarter with a slight lead, 12-10. However, The Eagle boys dominated the second quarter, pulling away with a 14-2 performance. This gave the travelers from Fayette a 24-14 advantage heading into the locker room.

In the third period, neither time did much scoring. In fact, the two teams only scored 2 points apiece in the quarter. Things got slightly better from an offensive standpoint in the fourth quarter, with each unit producing 6 points. With Fayette matching Montpelier’s total for each period in the second half, they secured their 10 point victory.
