It was a hard fought 1st half at North Central in Girls BBC action, but Fayette pulled away for the 52-42 road win.
PIONEER: February 6, 2014 – Fayette’s Lady Eagle’s on February 6 took down host North Central on the road 52-42 to remain a half a game behind league leading Pettisville.
Leading the way against North Central for the Lady Eagles was Taylor Griffiths, who recorded another big night with 24 points to lead all scorers in the game, including a 5 for 5 performance from the line. Also recording a double figure game was Kaela Seiler with 14 on the night. Alexis Fruchey dropped in 6, while Jessie Wheeler and Paige Keefer recorded 3 in the victory. Katelyn Bates rounded out the points for Fayette with 2.
For North Central in the loss, Sabrina Pickford had a big night with 17 to lead the Lady Eagles. Both Cady VanDeVorde and Alyssa Swank had 8, Julia Rhinard dropped in 6 and Jackie Kinsman was on the board with 3.
Fayette moved to 14-3 on the season and 7-2 in the BBC, while North central dropped to 5-13 on the year and 1-7 in the BBC.
